How to choose an OnlyFans agency: a calm checklist
Five areas to check before you sign with any OnlyFans agency: money, access, privacy, people and the way out. A checklist built on criteria, never on names.
Part of the guide: What does an OnlyFans agency actually do?

Choosing who manages your account is worth taking slowly. This checklist works with criteria and never with names, so you can use it with any agency, including us. Give yourself about a week, ask each agency the same questions and write the answers down. How to choose an OnlyFans agency comes down to five areas.
Money, in writing
- What the percentage applies to: the total, or what remains after the platform commission.
- The calendar: when payments are made, in which currency and by which method.
- The costs: who pays for tools, advertising or extras, and whether anything is deducted before the split.
- The way out: what happens to money already earned when the work stops.
Our own split is published on the transparency page: 55 percent for the model and 45 percent for the agency, after the platform commission.
Access and ownership
- Who holds the login details, and where are they stored? Account security explains why this matters.
- Whose name is on the account, and who owns the content?
- What happens to the account and the content if you stop?

Privacy
- Is an identity document or a legal name requested before any trial, or are photos asked for by private message rather than through a form? At SOMAS Management, neither happens.
- How are faces and identifying details kept out of what is published, and how is geoblocking checked?
- How is the data from your application stored, and for how long? A clear answer, in writing, is a good sign.
People
- Who will you actually talk to, and how quickly do they answer?
- Is your application read by a person? At SOMAS Management, each one is read personally.
- How long has the agency worked, and can it show its work in a way that protects its creators?
The way out
- How much notice is needed, and is there a trial first? At SOMAS Management, the first month is a trial for both sides.
- Is there a clause that limits where you can work afterwards? Reading an agency contract explains the usual terms.
Questions you can copy
A first message to any agency
- “Could you write down exactly what the percentage applies to?”
- “Who will hold the login details, and how can I end that access?”
- “What do you ask for before a trial, and what do you never ask for?”
- “What happens to my content and my account if we stop?”
- “Who will I be talking to, and how long do you usually take to answer?”
Clear answers and cloudy answers
| Question | A clear answer sounds like | A cloudy answer sounds like |
|---|---|---|
| What does the percentage apply to? | “Of what remains after the platform commission, as written here.” | “Don’t worry, it is standard.” |
| Who holds access? | “Named people, and you can end it at any time.” | “We handle everything.” |
| What do you need from me? | “A stage name and an email address.” | “Send your documents and we will sort it out.” |
| Can I stop? | “Yes, with this notice, and this is what happens to your content.” | “We can discuss it later.” |
How to run the comparison
- 1
Write your list
Take the questions above and add your own limits, so the list reflects what matters to you.
- 2
Send the same message to two or three agencies
Compare their answers, not their presentations.
- 3
Put the answers in one table
One row per question and one column per agency makes gaps easy to see.
- 4
Notice the tone
Patience and clarity say as much as the content of the answers.
- 5
Sleep on it
A fair agency does not need an answer today.
The warning signs and the good signs are listed in signs of a fair agency, and the full picture of what an agency does is in what an OnlyFans agency does.
Questions and answers
How many agencies should I compare?
Two or three is enough. More adds noise without adding clarity.
Can I speak to a creator who already works with the agency?
You can ask. Some agencies will say no to protect their creators' privacy, which is a fair answer. What matters is that the reply is clear and unhurried.
Is it normal to pay to join?
Ask what any upfront payment covers and get the answer in writing. At SOMAS Management, the onboarding training is free.
How long should the decision take?
About a week is reasonable. A fair agency lets you take that time.
